Quick setup guide

  1. Launch Beautivo and allow camera access when macOS requests permission.
  2. Choose a camera from the camera selector.
  3. Enable supported beauty tools and adjust them while viewing the live preview.
  4. Open virtual camera settings and follow the macOS prompts to enable the Beautivo Camera Extension.
  5. Open your streaming, meeting, or video-call app and choose “Beautivo Virtual Camera” as the camera source.

Camera Extension troubleshooting

Beautivo Virtual Camera does not appear

  1. Quit the destination app completely.
  2. Open Beautivo.
  3. Confirm that the Camera Extension is installed and enabled.
  4. Review the relevant extension and camera permissions in System Settings.
  5. Restart the destination app. If needed, restart your Mac.

The virtual camera shows a standby image, white lines, or a blank image

Confirm that Beautivo is open, the camera preview is active, virtual camera output is enabled, and the selected output format is supported by the destination app. Restart both apps if the connection was created before Beautivo began publishing frames.

The image is black

Check camera permission, confirm another app is not exclusively using the camera, select a supported camera format, and reopen the destination app.

The frame rate is lower than expected

Available frame rates depend on the camera, resolution, lighting, processing load, and receiving app. A camera that supports 60 FPS at one resolution may support only 30 FPS at another.

The image orientation is incorrect

Use Beautivo’s input orientation setting to select automatic, no rotation, left 90°, right 90°, or 180°.

Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera and confirm Beautivo is enabled.

Camera Extension

Follow the approval prompt shown by macOS. The exact location and wording may vary by macOS version.

Beautivo does not request microphone permission in the reviewed release.

Subscription support

Beautivo Pro offers monthly and annual subscriptions. Eligible users may receive a seven-day free trial. Use Restore Purchases inside Beautivo to restore an active entitlement, or manage and cancel through your Apple Account subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Apple handles payment and refund requests.
